Local Attractions

Distilleries

Speyside is known around the world as the home of Scottish whisky.  With many of the local distilleries offering tours to the general public they make a great tourist attraction.  Or why not plan your visit to include a trip to the Speyside Whisky Festival in May.

Golf

Grantown-on-spey hosts the nearest golf course to our accomodation, with excellent views of the Caringorm mountain range.  Other courses nearby are Ballindalloch and Carrbridge.

Speyside Way

Running from Buckie to the Moray Firth the Speyside way allows you to look at the stunning countryside of the North East of Scotland.  This popular tourist attraction brings you to many of the small Scottish villages including Cromdale, making it an ideal place for an overnight stop.  Failte B&B is an ideal place to stop and refuel for the next part of your journey.

Outdoor Activities

Cromdale is located within the Cairngorms National Park, the largest in the UK.  There is beautiful scenery and plenty walks to keep you occupied.  For a more adventurous experience, why not take a day trip to Aviemore where you can experience ski-ing, gorge walking and much more.

HIghland Games

Why not take a look round the local Highland Games or Agricultural Shows?

Highland Games offer Pipebands, Highland dancing and tug-of-war, all sure to keep even little ones entertained.

At the country shows you can see local farmers with their sheep, cattle and horses, or have a look at some of the large machinery used in the area.
